Application requirements

Following candidates  may apply for the Undergraduate Study:

  • 3 or 4-year secondary education completed (general or vocational)
  • Proficient in English language: TOEFL (min. score 500) or IELTS (min. score 5.0)

  • Undergraduate study completed (Bachelor degree holders)
  • Proficient in English language: TOEFL (min. score 500) or IELTS (min. score 5.0)
  • Steps of the application process

    STEP 1: Applicants must fill in the application form on our website.

    STEP 2: Aplicant e-mails the following scanned documents (in PDF, JPEG, Ms Word or OpenDocument format):
    1. Passport copy

    1. Certificate of citizenship or appropriate proof of citizenship (ID card copy)
    2. Birth certificate (in English language)

    4.A      Educational documents for Undergraduate Study:
    1. diplomas of completed secondary level of education in the original language

    1.    diplomas of completed secondary level of education in English or Croatian language,

    certified by an authorized institution

    4.B      Educational documents for Graduate Study:
    1. Undergraduate diploma (bachelor’s degree) in the original language

    1.   Undergraduate diploma (bachelor’s degree) in English or Croatian, certified by an

    authorized institution

    1.   Transcript of records in English or Croatian, certified by an authorized institution
      5. Proof of English proficiency (unless prior education was in English)
    2. CV and Motivation letter

    STEP 3: After reviewing the application, within 3 working days, university/College  arranges the admission test interview with the applicant via Skype. The purpose of the interview is to discuss competencies, skills and motivation for the study.

    STEP 4:          Following the successful interview, within 3 working days,  College will e-mail Conditional Offer Letter to the applicant, stating that he has been offered a place in the study program on the following conditions:

    Academic Condition: Recognition of qualification attesting the completion of secondary education by the Education and Teacher Training Agency/ Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education within the Croatian Ministry of Education.

    Financial Condition:

    Application fee of €380 (non-refundable administrative charge) to be paid within 5 working days.

     

    STEP 5:  For Undergraduate Study, university coordinates diploma recognition procedure with the appropriate government agencies.

    1. a) Education and Teacher Training Agency – recognition of qualifications attesting the completion of secondary education by Education and Teacher Training Agency
    2. b) Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education – recognition of qualifications attesting the completion of vocational secondary school programs.

    The undergraduate candidates are required to apply for the recognition procedure .

    For Graduate Study, recognition procedure for is done by university in cooperation with the Agency for Science and Higher Education.

    Note: the application fee (380 EUR) is non-refundable.

    STEP 6: In case academic recognition of foreign qualification is positive, University will send Admission Letter to the applicant, which is a letter supporting the application for a student visa stating that the College has received evidence that you have met academic and financial conditions of offer.

    STEP 7: University/College issues Study Contract to the applicant, stating student and university’s rights and obligations and financial requirements. A deposit is to be paid in the amount of the annual tuition fee in case of successful secondary qualification recognition by the Croatian Ministry of Education and before visa application. The deposit is refundable only if you are unsuccessful in your student visa application. Refusal will be acceptable only from Croatian Embassy.

    STEP 8: Student applies for a visa

    Detailed information about visas is available online at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs website: http://www.mvep.hr/en/consular-information/visas/visa-requirements-overview/

    Mandatory documents required by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

    • valid travel document (the validity period of the travel document should exceed that of the visa by three months, travel document must be issued in the previous 10 years, travel document must contain at least two empty pages for the visa)
    • a 35×45 mm colour photo
    • evidence of travel health insurance
    • evidence of paid visa fee
    • documents that prove:
    • the purpose of the stay in Croatia – A Letter of Acceptance
    • ensured accommodation
    • means of subsistence to cover the stay in Croatia and the return to the country of origin or to a third country
    • means of transport and the intention to return to the applicant’s country of origin or to a third country

     Additional documentation (depends on the country):

    • Travel insurance
    • Additional medical tests
    • Sponsor letter

    STEP 9: In case Visa is denied, College refunds the paid first half of the annual tuition fee to the candidate. Note that the refusal will be acceptable only from Croatian Embassy.



    Duration of study

    The Undergraduate Study (Bachelors) lasts for 3 years (6 semesters). Upon completion, graduates acquire, according to the provisions of the Bologna Process, 180 ECTS credits.

    The Graduate Study lasts for 2 years (4 semesters). Upon completion, graduates acquire, according to the provisions of the Bologna Process, 120 ECTS credits.

    The academic year is divided into two semesters: October to March (Winter Term) and March to July (Summer Term), with no academic activity from mid July to mid September.

    Student intake and application submission

    There are 2 (two) intakes of students per academic year – Summer Term (March start) and Winter Term (October start)

    Deadline for application submissions:

    For Winter Term – 1st May
